A Re: Collaboratives Programme
Re: Collaboratives is, of course, about collaboration.
And nowhere is this message clearer than in the Community-to-Community projects. The programme offers purposeful volunteer opportunities for people who want to improve the environment and other peoples’ lives. It unites the working community behind meaningful causes. And helps them make a visible difference by serving other communities.
Volunteers travel to different communities within Asia where they work on projects that benefit people for years to come. It’s an enriching opportunity to bring positive change to someone’s life using your own hands. And throughout the project, local facilitators and guides lead briefings and sharing sessions to provide direction and perspective for the experience. Every detail is covered to ensure that you’ll make an impact. All you need to provide for the journey are an open heart and an open mind.
The projects create a caring, motivated community of individuals who give back, while investing in themselves. And they’re opportunities for people to:
• Be a part of something memorable, meaningful and lasting
• Practice teamwork and leadership
• Meet diverse and interesting people
• Network with other volunteers
• Get out of their offices and comfort zones
• Shed their preconceptions
• Serve as a good example for their peers, employer and families
• Have a lot of fun
We work hard to foster development here at the Ministry of Culture. And we strongly believe in the power of experiential, hands-on activities when it comes to promoting growth and understanding. Volunteering is a true act of selflessness. And by offering their time, expertise and energy, Community-to-Community volunteers cultivate their compassion and understanding. Learning to better appreciate their lives and enjoying an inspiring and memorable experience.
We have community projects in Thailand, Bhutan, Indonesia, Singapore and China.
