A Re: Collaboratives Programme

Ten Joys is an awakening experience that enriches corporate individuals. It’s a springboard for self-awareness, a well-balanced life and cultivation of the mind, body and soul. Ten Joys is hands-on and lots of fun.

This programme is an exposure to interesting and engaging activities that allow participants to finding joy through gaining of both practical knowledge and insight into the self. When one takes part in a yoga activity, for example, the experience of the exercise and the realisation of one’s potential to learn and hone a new skill are just as valuable as the actual know-how itself. This awareness of joy is an integral step in the quest to knowing oneself, and another way to appreciate life’s beauty.


Inspiration

We drew our inspiration for Ten Joys from the teachings of Chen Zhi, a philosopher during China’s Song dynasty.

He believed that joy comes through learning to acknowledge and appreciate life, and all its energy, beauty, intricacy, and power. It was best realised by taking part in these ten activities (loosely translated as): reading, meditation, farming, music, sunning, dialogue, drinking, calligraphy, exercise and walking.

Today, we’re organising similar social and recreational activities best suited for corporate individuals who are looking for time and space for themselves, revitalizing the joy and realising their potential at work.
